Sept 10, 2008 Chapter Meeting

Meeting Update: September 4: Due to an overwhelming response by STC chapters to the Wiki seminar,  we were unable to secure enrollment in the event.  Therefore, the Heartland event originally scheduled for August 13 has been rescheduled to September 10.

We hope you’ll join the Heartland Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication for our rescheduled Summer meeting, featuring a demonstration of Microsoft’s Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.  

Heartland Chapter Communications Chair Greg Wees will present a short program on the SharePoint Intranet he co-developed for his company, EnSite Incorporated. Learn about Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 for Windows Server 2003 – 2008 and how it helps businesses effectively manage information, documents, teams, tasks, processes, and more. Greg will walk participants through the SharePoint interface, provide an overview of the back end and site management features, and demonstrate a few of the integrated, easy-to-deploy technologies available to administrators, teams and individual users of SharePoint.

• Traveling South on 132nd Street – continue on 132nd to Millard Avenue at 132nd and L – Hobby Lobby plaza is on the right at 137th.
• Traveling West on L Street – turn left on to Millard Avenue at 132nd and L - Hobby Lobby plaza is on the right at 137th.
• Enter our office, then just bear left past the receptionist desk – I’ll be there to meet and greet.
